Our Learning Support Centre (LSC) is a purpose built facility which provides a bright, spacious and safe learning environment. We cater for the varied needs of students who have special educational needs by providing quality support to students.

Our school embraces the model of inclusion by providing opportunities for learning within the mainstream environment. We assess each student’s individual needs and make curriculum adaptations to ensure that each student’s learning styles are acknowledged and catered for. Our team does this by developing an IEP (Individual Education Plan) to address each student’s educational and therapeutic goals. We do this by employing dedicated and competent staff including a team of teacher aides with extensive experience as well as a Speech Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapist, when required.

A key factor to the success of the LSC is our school-wide acceptance and positive attitude towards students with special needs. These positive interactions are seen from senior management to the classroom teachers and is most evident amongst the mainstream students themselves.

Students are able to access our Learning Support Centre through ORS (Ongoing Resourcing Scheme) or ACC funding.
