Welcome to Belmont Intermediate School. Established in 1957 and located on Auckland’s beautiful Devonport Peninsula, our school provides a safe, vibrant and inclusive environment for students aged 10–13. We value diversity and provide strong academic, language and pastoral support to help our international students become confident and connected learners while experiencing authentic New Zealand life. Our partnership with Takapuna Grammar School also provides a pathway to one of New Zealand’s leading secondary schools.
As a former international student myself, I understand the excitement and challenges of starting a new life and education in New Zealand. I am a Takapuna Grammar School graduate and studied Chinese and Japanese at the University of Auckland, followed by a Postgraduate Certificate in Educational Leadership and Management at Unitec. I have worked across primary, secondary and tertiary education in New Zealand, Korea, China and Vietnam, in teaching, admissions and international marketing. My own experience as an international student helps me provide personalised care and support to every student as they begin their New Zealand journey.
