Enrolment process

Step 1: Prospectus

To learn more about Belmont Intermediate School and what we have to offer please view our online prospectus.

Step 2: Information evening and open day tours

Information evening:              25 July 2019, 7:00pm  – School Hall

Parents and caregivers are invited to attend an information evening to learn more about Belmont Intermediate School and what we offer. No pre-registration is required.

Open day tours:   6 August 2019, 11:15am – School Hall
  7 August 2019, 9:15am – School Hall

We welcome all prospective parents, caregivers and students to attend our open day tours to see our school in action. The tours will provide you with an opportunity to see our programmes and facilities first hand.

Enrolment scheme and zone

Prospective students can apply for enrolment under two categories:

  • automatic entry for students who live within our school zone and
  • selective entry of out of zone students will be processed based on an order of priority.

Step 3: Submit a digital enrolment application

To complete a digital enrolment application for 2020, click here. If we require further information regarding your enrolment we will get in touch with you via e-mail. For 2019 enrolments please contact us via office@belmontint.school.nz or 09 489 4878.

Anne Paterson, Deputy Principal in charge of enrolments, is available to meet with parents and students who would like to have a one-on-one meeting regarding their enrolment. These meetings are an opportunity to discuss any special health or learning needs. The meetings will be held from 8th to 22nd August 2019 and can be made by clicking here and using the code kd4d2.

Step 4: Classroom placements and visits

Students will be informed of their 2020 classroom placement and will have a classroom visit to meet their 2020 teacher and their classmates in November. The classroom visits and date (either 27 November or 29 November) will be arranged by Belmont Intermediate School with the feeder primary schools and communicated to parents, caregivers and students closer to the time. If your child does not currently attend one of our feeder schools, please contact Anne Paterson after submitting an enrolment form to arrange a classroom visit time.
