Belmont Intermediate has an active and committed PTA. It aims to support BIS by; encouraging parents/caregivers to be involved in the education of their children, providing a link between students, parents/caregivers and the school, raising funds to provide improved facilities and educational opportunities for members of the school community, and promoting BIS within the community. 
 
All parents, caregivers and staff are entitled and welcome to participate. Involvement with the PTA is a very positive way to be involved in your child's school, at whatever level you can manage. In addition to the Committee, we have people on the “Friends of the PTA” contact list. If you can't commit to regular meetings, but would like to offer occasional help throughout the year, this is a great way to be included. The healthy interest already shown is very positive for the school community, and thank you to everyone who is willing to offer a little time every now and again. A small contribution from many makes such a difference!

 PTA Activities
Thank you. Many of you have given time, energy and goods. You've helped at events, paid for sausages (thousands of them!), discos, raffles, sponsoring our Knowledge-athon and donation of items....This is a personal note of appreciation! Calls for help throughout the year were answered, making it possible for the PTA to continue its role in supporting the school community.

In 2010 over $29,000.00 in donations to the school were made, including donations for data projectors in the classrooms, updating curtains in the hall and our large project for the year, replacing the roof on the bike shed.
