Currently the school consists of 19 homerooms, 5 specialist rooms, a Language Suite and a Learning Support Centre. All rooms have been recently refurbished.

2007 has seen the completion of a new administration complex, a staff resource area, improvements to the Art and Music and classroom facilities including learning spaces and modernise toilet and changing rooms. Future plans include a new auditorium.

Students and the local community use the spacious grounds extensively during the school day and at weekends.
Belmont Intermediate is located on Lake Road, the main thoroughfare to the Devonport Peninsula. Access to the school is via Winscombe Street.
