It gives me great leasure to welcome you to Belmont Intermediate School.

Belmont Intermediate is a learning community which focuses on meeting the needs of the emerging adolescent and raising student achievement for all. As a school we are also future focused and understand the need to ensure that students develop key dispositions for life long learning so they can continue to grow and develop as individuals and learners. 

Students are presented with a range of academic, cultural and sporting opportunities to promote their individual development. There is an expectation that students will strive for excellence; to be the best that they can be in all their school endeavours.

The school expects high standards of behaviour and positive interaction with adults and peers. Students are expected to aspire to the traditional values of showing respect, taking responsibility for and demonstrating commitment to their learning and acting in a caring way towards others.
The school believes that tudent learning is enhanced when there is a close liaison between the home and school. Parents are encouraged to continue being active participants in their child’s learning and development. There are a number of opportunities throughout the year for parents, students and teachers to discuss student achievement and progress. Teachers are available at other times when there are particular issues of concern.
